Restaurant Concept:
Emmitt's Restaurant is a modern American eatery specializing in delectable steak and fish dishes located in Las Vegas. Inspired by a clear vision and a commitment to excellence, Emmitt's will bring the spirit of classic American cuisine to Las Vegas at the iconic Fashion Show Las Vegas Mall.
Proprietors Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and Chef Rainer Schwarz and share a commitment to providing a comfortable and appealing eatery for friends and families to enjoy great food and libations. The menu featured succulent steaks and chops, such as 60 day dry-aged prime chops and Colorado Bison and A5 wagyu. Seafood items include Glacier 51 Seabass, Vietnamese Black tiger shrimp and the highest quality sashimi you can find on the Vegas strip.
Emmitt's will take the concept of a classic modern bar to new heights featuring artisan and delicious handcrafted cocktails. With a wine list that focuses on California cult wines and other highly-rated, world class wines, the dining experience consists of a vibrant mix of stylish dining and lounge style settings with exceptional service.
Job Summary:
1) Ability to understand customers service needs.
2) Ability to access and input information into Micros Symphony system
3) Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time.
4) Ability to exercise good judgements in determining potentially intoxicated customers.
5) Ability to maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly.
6)Ability to exert physical effort in transporting trays and wine buckets from service areas to customers.
7)Ability to endure abundant physical movements in servicing guests throughout the work areas.
8)Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision. A self starter
9)Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
2) Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
3) Complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
4) Complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
5) Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned restaurant.
6) Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended.
7) Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
8) Maintain complete knowledge of Micros Symphony and manual systems.
9) Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
10) Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute orders to respective personnel for preparation of order; follow call procedures at the bar.
11) Anticipate customers needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy.
12) Maintain positive customer relations.
13) Be familiar with all restaurant services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.
14) Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
15) Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

Job Requirements:
Education/Experience: Minimum of three years experience in a high-end restaurant or related operational experience. Some experience mass marketed hospitality/special events environment preferred.
Skills: Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to deal with guests and fellow employees in a calm and professional manner in a busy environment. Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Knowledge: Experience in high-end restaurant required. Additional experience in a high-end restaurant and beverage operation preferred.
Physical: Must be able to stand and walk for a full eight-hour shift. Able to lift and carry 40 pounds.

Other Preferred Job Qualifications:
Foreign language skills (Spanish, French or Italian).
