Provides general supervision of the receiving and inspection functions. Coordinates and records the receipt and classification of incoming material.

DUTIES:

Performs inspection, testing and classification of incoming material, in accordance with guidelines set forth by Illini Castings, LLC.

Create the appropriate paper work to communicate to the management team what materials are coming in and in what condition they are arriving.

Operates a lift truck in order to move materials in and out of the area as well as loading trucks for transportation

Customer Service – Acts as the customer contact with respect to deliveries.

Maintains the system of inventory control by creating ID tags and proper recording of those tags.

Submits receiving reports on all incoming shipments. Maintains cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.

Maintains a safe work environment for self and others in the area.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong leadership

Good communication skills

Self-motivational skills.

Strong clerical skills and detail oriented

The ability to test and classify a wide variety of materials

Reliable

Polite and courteous with customers

Able to work closely with others in a team atmosphere

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

High school degree or equivalency

Prior experience in material classification, preferably responsible for varied functions.

Fork lift experience

Good safety record

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to climb and balance well enough to climb ladders 33% of time.

Must be able to push/pull, carry and lift 66% of time.

Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel 33% of time.

Must be able to hear well enough to distinguish warning sounds or verbal instructions above loud noises.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:

The team member is frequently required to lift and carry, or to exert up to 50 pounds of force

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

Applicants will be required to pass a physical job requirements test prior to hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the essential functions of this job, the team member may be regularly exposed to loud noise, moving machinery parts, outdoor weather conditions and elements, airborne particles and fumes from gas, oil, grease, and welding arcs.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
