WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Digital Solutions & Client Insights team is looking for a Software Developer who can help us deliver the next generation of Sales platform to the market. The ideal candidate must be passionate in latest technologies, embrace teamwork and excited to solve challenging problems through innovation. This role will be based on the trading floor in Toronto and work closely with Sales, Traders, Quants and other technologists.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Contribute to the complete reengineering of our current platform.
- Work closely with the various Sales teams to understand the business and workflow of the application.
- Collaborate with other developers from inception through delivery on a world class application with a strong emphasis on UX (User Experience).
- Delivery of high-quality features and execution against tight project plans and delivery commitments.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Software development experience with at least 2+ years hands-on Java, HTML5, Angular/AngularJS/React (or other modern web framework) and JavaScript (es5/es6)
- Fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, Linux/Unix, source code management (Git), DevOps
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – this role will be working directly with Front Office users.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of Python, Fix Protocol, Spring Boot, Solace, SQL.
- Knowledge of Structured Product or Financial Digital Platform.
