Summary
We are looking for an agile and ingenious Mechanical Engineer who thrives on constant change, bases his decisions on data and root cause analysis, and has an excellent understanding of tolerances and their impact on mass production and yield.
This is a full-time onsite role.
Analyze, recommend, and revise corrective action in case of any design failure on product, tooling, fixturing, and process.
- Develop product test plans and perform production tests according to manufacturing process instructions.
- Design or revise full products or specific features to improve manufacturing.
- Design tooling and fixturing to comply with Quality criteria for mass production.
- Prepare plans for NPI projects and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure a good quality product.
- Propose improvements on running production.
- Monitor the status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies and procedures.
- Develop strong working relationships with engineering and Production teams to ensure all company objectives are met.
- Provide root cause analysis-driven solution proposals.
- Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.
- Design and Implement new equipment and ensure that it operates correctly; train others to operate new machinery.
- Transfer the product and knowledge from the pilot manufacturing line to the volume manufacturing line.
Qualifications
- A results-oriented and dedicated personality with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities.
- A deep understanding of the development cycle as a process and a discipline – the ability to drive first principles and maintain focus on goals during constant change, learning, and new analysis.
- 8+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or Manufacturing in roles that involve product design and development and/or manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in Statistical Process Control and its tools such as Gauge R&R, DOE, etc.
- Experience in tolerance gap analysis
- Highly experienced in Solidworks for modeling, static and dynamic simulation, and mechanical drawings.
Engineering environment.
- BS/MS Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent leadership, data presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Experienced in Python programming.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Familiar with PCB failure analysis and root cause analysis in general.
What else would be nice:
- Knowledge of wireless protocols and hardware (BLE, Lora, Cell, ETC)
- Experience with Python programming
- Mathematical model of mechanisms
- Experience with Controls Engineering or Controls Hardware
- Ability to use Ecad tools (Altium, eagle, Kicad)
- Knowledge of adhesives or experience designing enclosures
- Fluency in Spanish

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
