Job description

• Following patient’s pre-established plan of care.
• Performing all tasks delegated to them and their training allows them to. These tasks usually involve providing personal care such as bathing, oral hygiene, and toileting; helping them with dressing, grooming, and eating; and assisting with ambulation, positioning, and transferring (using devices like a Hoyer lift).
• Observing patient’s behavior, cognitive state, and physical condition in order to report any changes or unsafe conditions in their environment to the healthcare professional respponsible.
• Completing computer or paper records of patient’s activities, communication books, and progress notes, and keeping them up to date.
• Ensuring the fulfillment of individual goals and needs as instructed in the client’s support plans
• Helping clients with leisure activities
• Ensuring the health, safety, welfare, and independence of clients
• Assisting and satisfying the social and emotional needs of a client
• Documenting and recording daily care reports which may include resident incident reports, restraint monitoring, and medication administration.
• Adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations set by the province or territory

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
