Housing Available - Individuals over 18, $40 per month.
DUTIES:
Assures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness. Provides
information and assistance to visitors. Responsible for all general park maintenance and
cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, cabins & yurts,
campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc. Operates and performs routine maintenance on State
owned vehicles and equipment. May assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work
and transporting materials and supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.
NOTE:
This position is up to 40 hours per week and up to six months in duration. School schedules
may be accommodated.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation (provide motor vehicle record upon hire)
- Willing to work outside during inclement weather
- Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly during the course of a single workday
- Knowledge of power tool and hand tools preferred
- Knowledge of small engine and other equipment maintenance and repair preferred
- First Aid and CPR certifications desired
- Must be able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and
legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and
handling of materials.
WORK CONTEXT:
Outdoors, Exposed to Weather —Working outdoors is essential, this position will often be
exposed to inclement weather, heat and cold, rain, snow etc., must be able to hike into
remote areas.
Contact with Others —Most of the fieldwork is done independently, however exposure to the public is common on State Parks
Spend Time Standing —Standing is common in the field
Coordinate or Lead Others — This position must be able to organize seasonal or volunteer
crews, supervise their activities on the park
Exposed to Contaminants —During spring months, exposed to weed killing chemicals, may be exposed to exhaust or diesel fuels while repairing or running heavy equipment
Spend Time Walking and Running —Walking required when accessing roadless areas, fixing fence, hanging signs etc.
Spend Time Using Your Hands to Handle, Control, or Feel Objects, Tools, or Controls
—Almost every field related activity requires these activities: using your hands to handle,
control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
Exposed to Minor Burns, Cuts, Bites, or Stings — Bites, minor cuts and stings are a regular
occurrence when working outdoors.
UNIFORMS:
The park may provide some uniform items. Employee will be required to purchase
limited uniform items at their own expense.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Effective September 20, 2021, employees will be required to attest to and verify
