Job description

Role Impact:
To deliver a consistent and superior level of customer service to clients by actively seeking out opportunities to provide assistance and support. To ensure that property rules and standards are observed by maintaining a highly visible and reassuring presence through their assigned patrol and post duties. To act as a deterrent to crime and undesired activity and help to maintain a visibly safe and welcoming property environment. The successful candidate must be able to work shifts including weekends, nights, and evenings.
What you will deliver:
- Ensure the protection of tenant employees, property and information through enforcement of access control and property removal process
- Identify and deal with security exposure, violations, hazards and suspicious activities and report same
- Provide after-hours lock up and morning open up
- Respond and have accountability for resolution of customer concerns/complaints
- Be aware of the overall lobby presentation and report areas requiring attention
- Maintain and enforce access control procedures
- Ensure all relevant matters are brought to the attention of Security in an efficient manner without fail
- Conduct access control duties in respective tower assignment as required
- Conduct fire watches and other area checks in respective tower assignment as required
- Complete other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:
- Minimum one year general security experience preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates preferred
- Diploma in Security preferred
- Successful completion of annual Use of Force and CF compliance training
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Maintain safe working practices and will demonstrate same to co-workers
- Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintained and enforced access control procedures
- Complete CF Serve and Secure program and recertification annually
- Obtained and will maintain a valid Security Guard license and comply with PSISA and its regulations, as amended from time to time
