Veterinary Receptionist / Customer Service Representative
Job description
Nova Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full time (36-40hr/wk) veterinary customer service representative to join our growing team. We are a strictly small animal (dog/cat) full service veterinary hospital that is focused on client education through preventative and evidence-based medicine.
As one of our customer service representatives, or CSRs, you will act as a liaison between the pet owners and the veterinary team. Great CSRs are patient, empathetic, informative, and passionately communicative. Nova is seeking a confident and outgoing individual who is able to multi-task, problem solve and work independently to provide excellent service to our clients.
**Nova Veterinary Clinic is currently in the build-out stage of our new location, located across the street from our current location, and we are expected to move April 2023. Our new location has 6 exam rooms and a dedicated comfort room, and will feature new medical and office equipment so our team have the tools to perform their best.
Responsibilities
- Manage large amounts of incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive written and verbal communication
- Provide accurate, succinct and complete information by using the right methods/skills
- Utilize a medical record system for appointment scheduling, client communications, and financial transactions
- Interact with pets, pet owners, and the team in a positive and professional manner
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
Skills
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills utilizing active listening to ensure clients' needs are met
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters and situations
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Previous veterinary hospital experience is appreciated, but some of our strongest team members have come from outside the veterinary field - we are willing to train the right candidate!
