Location:

 Work Equipment Shop, Transcona. Winnipeg, MB

Description:

 Reporting to the Manager, Work Equipment Shop, Transcona, the successful candidate will be responsible for the repair of various Work Equipment machines in the Transcona shop, and on extra gangs within their assigned territory.

 Position may involve travel, primarily within the Prairie Region.

 Must provide own hand tools & necessary insurances

 Requires indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions.

 May be required to work various shifts for extra gang coverage (example 10 & 4 cycle).

 Shifts subject to change as per collective agreement

 Overtime may be required for extra gang coverage, and emergency situations

 Frequently lifting weights up to 50 pounds

 Occasionally lifting weights up to 100 pounds

 Will be required to become familiar with, and comply with CN safety rules and policies

 Because this is a safety sensitive position with CN, toxicology testing will be required

Qualifications:

 Successful candidate must be in possession of a valid inter-provincial RED SEAL certificate as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.(HDET) (or equivalent)

 Experience in troubleshooting hydraulic and electronic systems an asset.

 Preference given to candidates that possess welding skills.

 Must have a valid CROR card or be prepared to qualify

 Must be in possession of a valid drivers' license.

Work Cycle 5/2

Hours of Work 0730 - 1530 hrs

Rest Days Saturday, Sunday
