The Department

Our NWP farm is home to both a commercial and purebred cattle herd as well as a sheep flock. The farm provides support to Agricultural programing as well as providing research opportunities.

The Role

To carry out general farm duties including:

• calving and lambing, care of the animals,
• feeding, watering & monitoring animals
• maintenance of facility,
• maintenance of equipment,
• field work,
• other duties as required.

The successful candidate will need the following experience and skills to be successful in this role:

• Calving, lambing and working on a farm experience
• Feeding, watering & monitoring animals
• Comfortable working with large and small animals
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms
• Labor and maintenance experience
• Ability to work flexible schedules and independently
• Ability to work in unpredictable weather conditions
