Position Summary

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position provides leadership and support to the effective delivery of clerical services in Community Services in the designated service areas. In partnership with operational supervisors of clerical staff, the Clerical Services Coordinator identifies areas for service improvements/standardization, develops & implements strategies for effective clerical solutions and generally is responsible for supporting consistent clerical performance in the designated service area, including developing and delivering orientation & education to clerical staff. The Clerical Services Coordinator performs confidential administrative functions for senior staff in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and performs duties such as; word processing, data entry, preparing correspondence and reports, responding to inquiries, monitoring expenditures and providing input into the development of policies and procedures.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday / Days – 08:00 to 16:00

  • Qualifications


  • Grade 12.

  • Office Administration Certificate from a recognized program, plus three (3) years recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Current valid BC Driver’s License.


  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute.

  • Knowledge of general office procedures.

  • Ability to operate related equipment including proficiency in relevant computer applications.

  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.

  • Ability to supervise in an effective manner.

  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
