A leading Industrial Gas supplier that serves various industries including Food, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment Supplier in Edmonton Alberta is seeking Delivery Drivers.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Driver handles safe delivery of bulk gas supply systems at small on-site plants and residential clients in a Cargo/Cube Van.
The successful Cargo Van driver must have more than 1 year of driving experience. Preferably, experience handling atmospheric/cryogenic gases and related equipment combined with secondary education, G or Class 5 Driver License, (DZ/AZ or Class 1 Driver License will be an advantage), be able to provide clean driver’s abstract and submit to a thorough criminal background check & the security clearance. Company Vehicle and Insurance Provided.
Daily Duties:
Deliver and Pick-up industrial gas containers and medical/oxygen equipment
- Follow high safety standards and effectively communicate any safety hazards to the transportation department of regional office
- Lift up to 75 LBs and able to coordinate vehicle maintenance process
- Knowledge of provincial roads, able to make decisions in a critical situation following regulatory instructions & policies
- Responsible for representing the company in a professional, calm, and customer friendly manner
QUALIFICATIONS
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license (G, Class 1)
Minimum 24 months of driving experience
Fully vaccinated against Covid 19
Technical knowledge of equipment repair
SHIFTS
Day Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; some flexibility to accommodate overtime and travel around the province as required.
COMPENSATION
$24.00 - $38.00/Hour + OT Availability.
Overtime compensation: First 4 hours of overtime paid at 1.5x Hourly Rate & After the first 4 hours overtime is paid out at 2x Hourly Rate.
