Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Altima Telecom operates across Canada and has offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg. We are currently seeking multiple Field Service Technicians to meet the increasing demand for company's business. Individuals in this role will provide on-site technical support, including Internet, IPTV and phone service installation, troubleshooting and technical maintenance services for both residential and commercial customers.
Job summary:
The Field Service Technicain is responsible to install, maintain and repair Internet, phone and IPTV through various technology including Fiber to home (GPON), G.hn -GAM, DSL -CAT3 and DOCSIS -Coax.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber, copper-based (CAT3) and Coax telecommunications equipment, products and services
- Provide an exceptional customer experience for our clients
- Troubleshoot complex telecommunications products and systems using a digital multimeter, Smartphone, and PC
- Comfortable with Fibre Optic splicing in an Industrial Environment
- Work independently and also assist other technicians while in the field
- Observe and follow all company Health and Safety rules and policies
- Inform customers of work that will be done
- Learn and understand new products and services
- Act as an ambassador by professionally representing the Altima brand
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of field experience in a related field
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, and detail-oriented.
- Available to work different shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Ability to work in a computerized and constantly changing environment.
- Valid Quebec driver license with safe driving records.
- Climb ladders without fear of heights and able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Bilingual FRENCH and ENGLISH is a must

Salary: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
