Job description

This position is for Four Points by Sheraton confeence center as well off site events.

Server must provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service. Server will provide support for various tasks including serving, beverage service, assisting with breaks, set-up, tear down and various other event related duties.

He or she must ensure that guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well attended at all times.

Long hours sometimes required. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Must have 2 to 3 years serving experience in high paced catering /event environment

Good wine knowledge helpful.

Knowledge of sanitation policies required.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00 per hour

• HALIFAX, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
