Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.

Greenstone Mine is seeking a Mine Operations Labourer to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Mine Operations Labourer is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of various labour tasks required around the mine site.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Operate a light vehicle up to a 1ton pick up to travel to and between different work areas in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures. Operate various hand & power tools in a safe and effective manner. Perform Field Level Risk Assessments. Maintain a high level of housekeeping of the vehicle as well work areas while performing various tasks. Conducting pre-operational checks of the light vehicles, and other support equipment such light plants and pumps. Complete logbooks and daily reports on delays. Use two-way-radio, hand, and horn signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Safety conscious Self-motivated Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Willing to adapt and work in an inclusive work environment Willing to perform repetitive tasks Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs repetitively.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION A minimum of 1 year of experience a mining or industrial setting Valid driver’s license Prior experience in an industrial or a mining setting is an asset Heavy Equipment Operator Training or pertinent experience is an asset Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset

This position will be on a rotational basis based in Greenstone, Ontario
