Work Location: Vancouver, British Columbia; Hybrid

Work Schedule: Full-time (up to 40 hours/week), Monday – Friday during regular business hours

Engagement Model: Employment; fixed-term/temporary

Project Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension

DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for Image Captioner/Data Entry with fluency in English to join our team in Vancouver! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project to improve Artificial Intelligence and technology.

This is a hybrid employment engagement, working partly in the Vancouver office and partly remote. This role requires a high level of independence, adaptation, and accuracy – love of attention to detail will help to succeed in this role!

Role Summary

Image Captioner/Data Entry will focus on speech or text recognition, input methods, keyboard/swipe technology, or other areas of human-machine interaction related to languages.

Role Responsibilities

• Transcription - create written copies of live speech or dictated audio
• Data labeling - identify and label the properties of what you transcribe
• Data classification - categorize provided data into different criteria
• Data entry - following provided company guidelines, input the data and information

Job requirements

• Idiomatic fluency in English
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Must be of legal age (18+)
• Located within a reasonable commuting distance to our Vancouver office
• Great reading and comprehension skills
• Ability to meet daily KPI's
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility to respond and react to changing priorities, quickly and efficiently
• Ability to track, analyze, and report issues
• Full-time availability (40 hours/week) for duration of the project
• Ability to understand and implement feedback
• Detail-oriented and comfortable with repetitive tasks
