: Human Performance Technologist


Terms: Part-time, contract based. Initial 6-month contract that may be extended or expanded. 15-25 hours a week. ***United States applicants only***

Compensation
: $30 - $40 an hour


Job description:
We are looking for two talented Human Performance Technologists with some work experience to assist the Learning and Development (L&D) team in overhauling Quiktrak's certification program for its network of 1,000+ independent contractors.


The team will conduct needs assessments and select performance improvement solutions. We'll design and develop eLearning and performance support material. Along the way we'll interview end users, analyze performance data, and work with subject matter experts.


Position 1:
Someone who can conduct needs assessments and do instructional design.


Position 2:
An instructional developer to build eLearning courses and job aids.


Desired experience:

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Human Performance Improvement (HPI) with 2+ years’ experience working in the L&D, HPI, and/or instructional design fields.


Desired knowledge and skills include:


  • Performing needs assessments
  • Applying adult learning theory in product development
  • Working with SMEs
  • Using established performance improvement and development models—ADDIE, BEM cause analysis, The ISPI HPT model, etc.)
  • Designing and developing text, graphics, animations, simulations, and/or assessment instruments for training and performance support solutions.
  • Storyboarding
  • Flowcharting
  • Spaced reinforcement
  • Trello
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Articulate 360: Storyline, Rise
  • TechSmith: Snagit, Camtasia
  • Modern corporate LMS interfaces (Quiktrak uses the Absorb LMS)
  • Fluent using communication platforms: MS Teams and Zoom
  • Ability to work independently

Bonus skills and interests:

  • Data visualization
  • Learning Experience Design (LXD): personas, journey maps, empathy maps
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, Captivate, Connect

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to utilize skills they developed in school for a growing L&D department.
