Job description
Starting Pay is $15.00/hour. The Junior Accountant will support Accounting Department, and Business Operations function with important accounting/finance services (including resolving accounting/finance and payroll issues) within the organization.MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation.
- Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures.
- Updating financial records via accounting software.
- Payroll Processing and Tax Filings
- Gathering payroll expenses and input into appropriate entry line.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks online.
- Analyzing financial statements and prepare balance sheets.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with Accounting/Finance Specialization or equivalent; Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year' experience in Accounting/Finance functions.
- Experience with accounting software and data entry.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge and experience of spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently.
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
