Maintenance Planner-Brooks, AB
With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

NOTE: This role will be located in BROOKS, AB.
You will:
· Develop a Master PM Schedule identifying Preventive Maintenance requirements, from a weekly to annual basis;
· Prepare, release and schedule preventive maintenance jobs of all equipment in the plant; Generate job orders containing instructions for the specific equipment to be repaired or inspected;
· Coordinate with Materials Sections to check availability of materials and spare parts for equipment prior to scheduled maintenance; Prepare requisitions for materials/supplies; Gather feedback from Production and Engineering personnel on quality of materials/supplies;
· Work with Maintenance Supervisors to monitor progress and accomplishment of job orders with using an effective control system. Monitor and reschedule outstanding work orders;
· Be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining equipment information in SAP
· Participate and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the plant and maintenance department
· Responsible for filing and documentation of the following: Work Order File; Backlog Follow-Up; Machinery Data File; Condition Monitoring Record Sheets; Cycle Maintenance; Equipment Repair History; List of High Value, Indent, Insurance Parts; Plant, Equipment, Fabrication Drawings; Maintenance & Parts Manuals;
· Prepare computer generated reports: Daily / Weekly Stoppages Ranking Report; Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annual Preventive Maintenance Schedule; Monthly Maintenance Management Reports; Monthly Repairs and Maintenance Costs; Maintenance Dashboard;
· Participate in weekly action planning sessions with the Maintenance team by providing technical information and data relating to materials performance etc;
· Assist in analyzing causes of machine breakdown based on factual data and information of machinery/equipment;
· Administrate computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)-SAP;
· Ensure the accuracy of account assignment at equipment and categories of expenditure for costing accuracy
· Cost control through budget management; Assist with preparation of annual repairs and maintenance budget by providing data and information on machinery;
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Management.
You have:
· Computer skills (MS Excel, VISIO) required; Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or any other CMMS is an added asset
· Excellent mechanical aptitude, ability to read machine drawings and schematics
· Experience with predictive maintenance technologies is a bonus
· Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Technology graduate with equipment maintenance experience; and/or
· Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering;
· High School Diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution; and/or
· Journeyman Millwright Qualification or other Journeyman trade qualification with equipment maintenance experience;
· Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines;
· Good leadership and organizational skills.
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.
