Alteo is looking for a Network Technician for a permanent position based in Boucherville or anywhere in the province of Quebec.

*** Hybrid: approximately 50% teleworking + the workplace could be: Boucherville, Quebec City, Victoriaville, Sherbrooke, or anywhere in the province of Quebec ***

Responsibilities:

• Provide computer support services to existing customers, mainly remotely (occasional travel to customers)
• Perform integration, installation and configuration of secure local area networks, as well as computer equipment and applications
• Ensure the maintenance, administration and security of systems and applications
• Diagnose and handle operational incidents
• Write deployment procedures and various technical documents

Profile:

• AEC or DEC in computer science or in a discipline deemed relevant (and/or relevant experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Knowledge of :
• Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 2012-2019, Windows 10) and Active directory
• Email system (Outlook, O365, SMTP, etc.)
• TCP/IP protocol
• Networks (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
• Computer equipment in general

Assets :

• Knowledge of MS Exchange
• Knowledge of print servers
• Knowledge of DHCP and DNS services
• Advanced knowledge of networking
• Knowledge of data backups
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Knowledge of virtualization with VMware
• Recognized certification (ex: MCP, CCNA)
• Good command of spoken and written English

• Diagnostiquer et traiter les incidents d'exploitation
• Rédiger des procédures de déploiement et divers documents techniques

Profil:

• AEC ou DEC en informatique ou dans une discipline jugée pertinente (et/ou expériences pertinentes)
• Cumuler au minimum 3 années d'expériences
• Capacité d’analyse pour permettre résoudre des problèmes
• Connaissances de :
• Systèmes d'exploitation Microsoft Windows (Windows 2012-2019, Windows 10) et Active directory
• Système de courriel (Outlook, O365, SMTP, etc.)
• Protocole TCP/IP
• Réseaux (commutateurs, routeurs, pare-feu, etc.)
• Matériel informatique en général

• Notions avancées de réseautique
