Job description
Transparent Language is a leading provider of best-practice language learning software for consumers, government agencies, educational institutions, and businesses. Transparent Language is now building the capabilities to deliver online, instructor-led, language instruction and tutoring services. As part of this program, Transparent Language will be hiring part-time Online Language tutors.
Online Language Tutors shall have responsibility for assisting students in language learning by teaching new concepts and facilitating communicative tasks.
Online Language Tutor:
All tutor applicants should have strong foreign language teaching experience. Experience with classroom technology and/or online instruction is a plus.
Requirements:
1. Fluency in English and at least one target language:
, Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, Danish, Dari, Dutch, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Iraqi Arabic,
Arabic-MSA,
Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Modern Standard Arabic, Norwegian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, European, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, Urdu
2. Ability to teach one or more of the following languages: Chinese, Mandarin Chinese , Danish, Dari, Dutch, English (ESL/TESOL), Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Iraqi Arabic, Arabic-MSA, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Modern Standard Arabic, Norwegian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, European, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, Urdu
3. Availability during evenings and/or weekends
This position can be based anywhere, but instructors must have a computer with a fast, reliable internet connection, (
no dial up, please!)
Compensation: $12-20/hour, based on experience.
