The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
Provide analysis and testing of internal and external systems. Provide expertise on software and data to support, improve and streamline departmental operations, and report on data for senior leadership.
- Configures software systems such as Bonfire and runs reports on various software applications.
- Evaluates and plans software and hardware purchases to maintain and improve the system in collaboration with the department of Information Technology Systems.
- Provides Data Analysis and creates reports for senior leadership on department operations. Maintains several interrelated computer and data base information systems.
- Develops and updates contract management documentation
- Analyzes network problems and resolves technical difficulties in collaboration with the department of Information Technology Systems.
- Modifies and maintains existing applications and software to improve system efficiency.
- Trains users, technicians, and less experienced personnel in using the system.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or technology field
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year of experience developing and/or providing end-user training and support for software/database systems.
EQUIVALENCY(IES):
- High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
- An associate degree in any field plus three (3) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a non-specified field plus three (3) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of procurement processes, practices and or principles.
- Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, and two or more operating systems.
- Thorough knowledge of network systems and configurations, such as ethernet.
- Ability to work with Information Technology Systems to support the department
- Ability to analyze data and create dashboard and reports from the data
- Ability to analyze information logically and propose computer-based solutions. Ability to provide guidance to less experienced technical personnel.
- Ability to communicate technical information orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of management, city officials, vendors, other government agencies, other employees, and the general public.

- Effective oral and written communications skills required for training employees/customers.
