HOURS: DAYS, EVENINGS, NIGHTS, INCLUDING WEEKENDS

SALARY: $31.387 (Min.) - $36.425 (Max.)

Pay rate, benefits and other terms and conditions are as per the CUPE 139 Collective Agreement

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: 
Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required 
Current B.C.L.S. Certificate required 
Recent medical and surgical clinical experience in an active care setting (within 3 years) required 
I.V. Therapy required 
Capillary Blood Glucose certification required 
Relevant nursing skills such as working with PCA pump, and TPN maintenance required 
Excellent level of interpersonal skills required 
Excellent level of written and verbal communication skills required 
Ability to participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team with the ability to function well in a team oriented

climate required 

Ability to provide health teaching to individuals required 
Able to meet the physical demands required to provide nursing care to surgical and medical patients required 
Ability to function in fast-pace environment and problem-solve required 
Ability to work with minimal supervision required 
Basic computer knowledge required 
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure their safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and

visitors 

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization 
Good attendance and work record required 
Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Check:
recent within six (6) months is a requirement
