Description – Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer

LEAF Engineers is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer for our rapidly growing practice in Berkeley, CA. This individual will need a minimum of 8 years in a consulting engineering setting with the following skills: Load analysis and service design, short circuit analysis, standby engine-generator power plans, fire alarm and telecom design, specifications, cost estimating, and construction phase services, including field observations. Project experience in the K-12 education market and with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) is required.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of work experience with an engineering consultant.
• Bachelors degree in engineering or related engineering technology degree.
• California PE license is a plus.
• Specification writing and editing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Revit experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations and vendors.
• Must be quality-minded and self-motivated.
• Must be physically able and willing to conduct site inspections and fieldwork, i.e., climb ladders, walk on roofs, etc.
