A key enabler to our business growth is data integrity and digitization to execute Air Products’ mega engineering projects globally, across all regions, seamlessly and effectively. It is critical to increase the Company’s internal EPC execution efficiency by bolstering the organization’s automation capabilities and driving the full integration of work processes, tools, and systems across the full project lifecycle. In Air Products' Build, Own, and Operate model, this means from Product Line through EPC through Operations. It is therefore essential to continue building on the current global processes and systems under the leadership of an individual with extensive experience in EPC work processes and the integrated enterprise architecture and systems required to enable it.

This position provides leadership / expertise in the field of EPC work process and systems automation along with data integration across the suite of tools Air Products is engaging. The role’s objective is to ensure the end-to-end digital enablement of EPC processes is continually optimized across its value streams based on evolving requirements from the EPC organization. The candidate must have proven experience in the systems and tools for an EPC organization. They should have an in-depth knowledge of typical EPC processes and systems roadmap, integration, interfaces, and dependencies.

Principal Accountabilities

• Work with EPC Global Functional Owners, Product Lines, Process Technology, and Operations to identify desired system optimizations in alignment with cross functional work process requirements
• Partner with EPC functional owners and enterprise architects to develop, maintain and drive the realization of EPC systems capability roadmaps
• Work with EPC leaders, Business Relationship Director, and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets, and produce documentation needed for project approvals
• Provide direction to project teams on the definition of required solutions; from option generation through solution selection to meet stated business requirements
• Maintain technology and process experience related to changing technologies supporting the Engineering industry. Keep aware of trends, best practices, and state-of-the-art information management amongst others in the process industries
• Define, support, and enforce architectures, standards, and work practices that enable automated and integrated EPC value streams
• Ensure EPC digital capabilities are delivered in accordance with solution definitions so that required outcomes and value are achieved
• Define and report on measures that quantify the value delivered because of optimized/automated capabilities

Critical Competencies

• Knowledge of key EPC systems sourcing (Technology, Hexagon, Document Management System, Subcontract Management, Construction Management, and Commissioning)
• Experience in large modularization concepts and design
• Knowledge of the information flow between EPC business processes and systems
• Thorough understanding of data management, integrity, digitization, and dependencies
• Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Strong influencing, communication (written and verbal) and facilitative skills, including cross cultures and geographies
• Ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, leadership, and facilitation skills
• Experienced in functional-matrix organization
• Ability to plan and develop automation resources

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering a/o Digital Technology
• Min. 10 years relevant professional experience
• Experience in leading the automation effort for large organization in the EPC industry, Oil and Gas, Industrial Gases or Petrochemical project.
