Job Summary
There are 2 vacancies that will be filled from this applicant pool.
This position will assist with the contractual review of Minnesota's individual and small group market health insurance plans. This work involves the following:
- Assisting with review of insurance company form and binder filings to ensure compliance with MN and federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Mental Health Parity, the No Surprise Act and Non-discrimination outlined in Section 1557 and Minnesota Executive Orders 21-25 and 23-03.
- Review contractual provisions for consistency across carriers
- Work as part of the filing team to ensure accuracy and consistency of reviews.
- Assist in the review of Schedule of Benefits (SBC)
- Run federal and state Excel-based review tools and evaluate output
This position will also assist with special research projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be a student in a college/university, trade or technical school, if a student is enrolled at credit-granting institution they must carry at least six semester (nine quarter) credits. If enrolled at a non-credit granting institution or one that only offers one credit per class, a student must be taking two or more classes per semester/quarter. Any less credits (class) load shall be treated as a semester off. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least two courses or making progress on dissertation. You will be asked to complete an Education Verification Form prior to appointment.
Pursing a degree in: Business Administration, Public Health/Public Policy, Pre-Law/Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
Skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Requires occasional moving of articles such as boxes, accounting records, laptop computer, and portable printer.
