Applied Electronics Limited is a national industry leader in Audio Visual Solutions and Services. Businesses rely on us to help them with videoconferencing solutions, digital signage, video walls, streaming, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Council Chambers, Classrooms, and Command and Control Centers to name a few.

We are currently seeking a Technical Lead for our Burnaby regional office to join our team of some of the best in the industry. The primary role will be to complete audio visual projects to the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers, and control systems.

· Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities

· Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables

· Maintain daily communication with Project Manager/Technical Supervisor on status of project

· Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deliverables

· Willing to work out of town and overnight travel is required from time to time

Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines

· In depth knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control

· Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities

· Highly organized with great attention to detail

Education and/or Experience:

· Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related or direct industry experience

· Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred

· Crestron/Extron programming/configuration experience preferred

· Avixa CTS or CTS-I Certification

· Knowledge of basic networking (Preferred: IP Network Certifications)

· Industry recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Cisco, etc.

Requirements:

· Must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

· Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be on-call as necessary.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department

· The ability to achieve high level security clearance
