Join the team at Gardner Auctions Inc., one of Southwestern Ontario’s foremost commercial and industrial auction and appraisal firms, which was established in London in 1922.

We are looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a wide knowledge of Retail, Household, Tools & Appliance products. The candidate must be able to identify products quickly, enter the items in Excel, and take pictures using a digital camera. The successful candidate must have the ability to fill in where needed at times as other general warehouse work may be required.

*This is a position that is Saturday & Sunday.

Ø Responsible for checking if items are working/quality control, identifying each item and processing the products, determining value, if the product is ready for sale, researching retail price, and adding each incoming product to the Excel manifest

Ø Research product specifications as needed

Ø Compose detailed product descriptions to add to upcoming auction and make any data entry corrections

Ø Once determined if items are damaged, alter the manifest to detail the problem.

Ø Takes photos of the item using a digital camera

Ø Prioritize time and accuracy in terms of how many items you are able to list per day to meet targets

Ø Responsible to be in constant communication with Supervisor for any questions, concerns or issues regarding items being listed

Ø Provide general housekeeping duties of warehouse, including sweeping of warehouse floor, cleaning of bathroom, on a rotating basis with colleagues

Ø Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ø Must be physically fit, able to stand, bend, lift, pivot, sit, etc. for extended periods of time

Ø Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Ø Ability to type 50wpm

Ø Adhere to all Health and Safety and Human Resources policies and procedures

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.50-$15.75 per hour
