Reporting to the Manager of Contaminated Sites Services, the Client Information Officer provides specialist expertise related to the delivery of contaminated sites services, which support clients who are remediating contaminated sites in BC under the Environmental Management Act.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor Degree in Science, Environmental Studies, Geography or a related discipline and 2 years relevant experience, which includes 1 year experience in environmental management; OR
  • Technical Diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related field and 4 years relevant experience, which includes 2 years experience in environmental management; OR
  • Grade 12 and 5 years relevant experience, which includes 4 years experience in environmental management; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Previous experience with information and records management utilizing electronic tools.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislated requirements.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Specific training in the business of contaminated sites.
  • Experience with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Information Management Act and procedures related to the collection, use and disclosure of information.
