POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Residential Direct Support Professional provides basic care for the residents of Inspired Living, an all-male group home located in Seminole County.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the residents with personal hygiene, grooming and daily living skills.
• Assist the residents with their household assignments and ensure they are being carried out properly.
• Work alongside residents to achieve their goals towards independence.
• Facilitate proper medication administration to residents.
• Monitor and provide appropriate care for residents’ medical conditions in a timely manner.
• Provide transportation and supervision for social outings.
• Document daily progress notes, medication logs and incident reports as required by APD and the agency
• Create social activities or outings for the residents.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the home by completing routine and consistent housekeeping tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• Applicant must be able to pass a level 2 background screening

PREFFERED:

• Medication Administration Validation
• First Aid/CPR certification

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
