Role Purpose:
To direct the day to day activities of the production department at the Blenheim facility of Woodbridge. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports include Production Supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Educate team and drive lean concepts and WPS using toolbox.
- Drive out waste through VSM, 5Q or LTR activities
- Member of management team responsible for planning, health, safety and environment, budgeting and implementing TQM and best methods
- Ensure production schedules and quality requirements are met
- Review all aspects of departmental performance with respect to budget, finance plan, plant operating goals, develop continuous improvement plans
- Develop supervisors reporting to this role
- Foster a cohesive team environment that promotes opportunity and harmony
- Ensure working in compliance of legislation and collective agreement.
Qualifications:
- College/University graduate in Industrial Engineering or Business
- 3-5 Years of experience in a management role in manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Superior problem solving and organizational skills
