Role Purpose:

To direct the day to day activities of the production department at the Blenheim facility of Woodbridge. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports include Production Supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Educate team and drive lean concepts and WPS using toolbox.
• Drive out waste through VSM, 5Q or LTR activities
• Member of management team responsible for planning, health, safety and environment, budgeting and implementing TQM and best methods
• Ensure production schedules and quality requirements are met
• Review all aspects of departmental performance with respect to budget, finance plan, plant operating goals, develop continuous improvement plans
• Develop supervisors reporting to this role
• Foster a cohesive team environment that promotes opportunity and harmony
• Ensure working in compliance of legislation and collective agreement.

Qualifications:

• College/University graduate in Industrial Engineering or Business
• 3-5 Years of experience in a management role in manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Superior problem solving and organizational skills
