Bishop’s Cellar, a private wine shop located on the Halifax waterfront, is seeking a security guard. Bishop’s Cellar has been providing world-class wines to Nova Scotians since 2003.

Job Title: Security Guard

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a courteous, friendly manner as soon as they enter the store
• Check customer ID's as required
• Prevent unauthorized entry and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave the premises
• Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
• Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
• Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed

Requirements:

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• High school diploma is required
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English
• Required to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to pass a background criminal records check
• Previous security-related work experience preferred
• The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others
