JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be managed by the Director of Controlling and will be involved in all aspects of Corporate Finance, providing management information and analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for monthly close preparation and financial reporting to headquarters and internal management. As a member of the controlling department, the Senior Financial Analyst will also work closely with the accounting and treasury shared service departments, collaborating to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information. Location: Dulles, VA., this is currently a hybrid role requiring on site up to 3 days per weekDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze, prepare and provide information on financial performance for management (e.g. MBR/QBR)
• Complete variance analysis, provide monthly reporting, make recommendations and present findings
• Manage/track/report company KPIs with input from internal customers (e.g. FTEs, order income and order backlog, gross margin, working capital, cash flow)
• Prepare forecasts and budget by partnering with management
• Serve as a key user for financial systems (e.g. Tagetik, BW/4HANA, SAP, etc.)
• Perform monthly SAP technical close and financial reporting
• Obtain and validate the order income and order backlog
• Validate the recognition of revenue according to IFRS
• Calculate, record costs and monitor cost-to-complete projects
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory valuation to include analyzing and recognizing appropriate excess and obsolescence reserves in accordance with accounting standards and Group guidelines
• Participate in and support all company audits (e.g. internal controls, interim, annual)
• Support sales organization with sales forecasting, pricing and cost analysis support (e.g. RFPs, RFIs)
• Monitor pre-sale and post-sale analysis
• Participate by providing financial calculations for business cases
• Complete global corporate management requests as required
• Prepare ad hoc analysis/reports and other special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• The individual should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior executives. Position requires an individual that is highly motivated and accurate with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be creative and have the ability to think conceptually and independently. Strong general ledger and SAP experience is highly preferred. Financial modeling skills and extensive knowledge of Excel are required.
• BA/BS Finance, Accounting, or related with a minimum of six years of experience or Master’s degree in same with minimum four years of experience.
