Table Games Floor Supervisor - Swing Shift

Position Summary
Responsible for the operation of assigned tables during assigned shift and all personnel assigned to those tables. Responsible for adhering to the System of Internal Controls and federal cash reporting requirements having access to the pit podium, pit area, table banks and cards and dice in play. The Floor Supervisor can sign Requests for Fill/Credit, Fill/Credit slips, table opener/closer, temporary opener/closer and federal cash reporting documents.
Qualifications
- Observe gamblers' behavior for signs of cheating, such as marking, switching, or counting cards, and notify security staff of suspected cheating.
- Maintain familiarity with the games at a facility and with strategies or tricks used by cheaters at such games.
- Ability to supervise and direct the work of employees.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to exercise personnel management practices, to be firm in dealing with employees and exhibit a strong motivational commitment to the organization.
- Ability to write and prepare standard reports and documents.
- Knowledge of all Table Games rules and regulations.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming registration.
Essential Functions
- Greet customers and ask about the quality of service they are receiving.
- Oversees total operation of the assigned pit area.
- Monitor game operations to ensure that house rules are followed, that state, and federal regulations are adhered to, and that employees provide prompt and courteous service.
- Communicates information to incoming relief.
- Responsible for compliance with all dealing procedures.
- Must have a total understanding of procedure manual for games supervised.
- Responsible for ensuring maximum game protection.
- Responsible for dealing rotation.
- Responsible for protecting all sensitive equipment, (Cards, dice, shoes, etc.)
- Ensure strict compliance with Ellis Island Casino and Brewery of Internal Controls.
- Trains and helps develop dealer’s skills.
- Responsible for accurately tracking bankroll of players and maintain proper bankrolls for all tables assigned.
- Counsels and works with dealers on procedural problems.
- Provides excellence in customer service and ensures same of all employees.
- Assists Table Games Manager in completing all duties.
- Deals effectively with customer problems/complaints.
- Report customer related incidents occurring in gaming areas to Table Games Manager.
- Supervise the distribution of complimentary meals, hotel rooms, discounts, or other items given to players, based on length of play and amount bet.
- Accurately determines table win/loss.
- Perform paperwork required for monetary transactions.
- Serves as role model for all team members.
- Assists with tournaments and promotions
- Accurately tracks table drop.
- Evaluates team members and completes performance appraisals
- Interview and audition potential future team members
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; and regularly lift and/or move objects weighing at least 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
