The Membership Services Specialist is responsible for the delivery of front line customer service to existing and potential members. Working in a team environment, the position will participate in membership sales strategies to support the recruitment and retention of members.
Duties
· Meet, greet and answer all member/potential member questions in a friendly and welcoming manner.
· Facilitate membership and program registrations.
· Participate in membership sales strategies that support the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members.
· Maintain front line delivery presence and excellence in daily operational issues relating to membership sales and services.
· Maintain a strong presence as a positive role model at all times, while representing the vision, mission and values of the YMCA of Fredericton.
· Perform light cleaning duties as required to keep work area clean.
Qualifications
· Customer service and sales experience
· Strong computer literacy skills
· Strong communication, conflict resolution and public relations skills
· Ability to exercise mature judgment and decision-making
· Ability to build positive relationships with members & staff
· Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all
social and economic segments of the community
· General Fitness knowledge would be considered an asset
· Standard First Aid and Level C CPR Certification an asset
· Current Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector required
Part-time or Full-time positions available.
